Daily dog adventures and the making of the studio

Boris and Lola are now amost a year old and more used to the daily routine. Sometimes more than us but they will make sure to let us know when it is time for an adventure with the pack. Capo branco in the lead (Lex), or sometimes me, but mostly they think they can lead the way. Temperatures are low in the morning and makes for a nice Eskimo-like portrait, B & L pretending they are huskies ;-).
They are getting better at coming back when called, thanks to they rewarding little cookies. Meanwhile they keep us fit, while enjoying the beautiful views that differ every time with pleasant surprises when we don't expect them.
On the way back to the house we pass the farm where Boris & Lola were born and all their cousins, siblings and mother still live. Fun play time and the neigbour dogs love to walk up with us, or better said, they refuse to leave......apparently we are attractive company ๐Ÿ˜‡

Looking back a year is so much fun. If anyone ever asks if life is too quiet or boring in a small village like Marradi, I can whole heartedly say: come and have a look/taste. This is a little jewel! After a life in big cities I think I am learning a lot about 'life' here, if nothing else, appreciate what is. And what is, is amazing!

In the mean time at Val di Nibbio the studio/fienile is ready to be furnished, designed, lived, experienced. Lex is fixing the curtain rails while I am doing the rest of the interior design. I am pulling everything I need and can use from the house into the studio and getting very excited every time I walk in there. I can hardly wait to try out the light in this space that makes me want to dance. Hubby will even promise to be my guinea pig.

The weather gods treat us to some beautiful days that tempt us into having a little after lunch siesta just inside the studio, covered from the wind, our faces absorbing wonderful vitamin Sun. Outside Spring is announcing itself with small yellow flowers in the pastures, primulas in the woods.

The bathroom needs some finishing touches, measurements are taken, now on the road to find shower head, toilet bowl, faucets and sink.
